ART
For the entire month of April please choose one activity from the Art Challenge Board to complete every week. Remember if you’ve already completed one of the challenges you must choose a new challenge the following week! This week we will begin a Roy Lichtenstein-Inspired Art Project! Have you ever heard the words ZOOM, POP, BAM, POW, or any other sound words? These words are called Onomatopoeias. They are words that describe a sound – ZING! Roy Lichtenstein often painted onomatopoeias. That’s right! He painted words! This week you are going to choose an onomatopoeia (you may google them if you need more inspiration). Watch the Youtube videos below to learn how to draw words like Roy! *Do not color your onomatopoeia art! We will do that next week together!* https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=499e0SMclcc https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jS-OTAwPRDY https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N6MMd7DEie0&t=32s Check out this Roy Lichtenstein Onomatopoeia painting: Varoom 1963
